TCfR has been looking for a suitable office space and interfaith centre for many years. A few options came up during this time but they never felt right and things did not work out relating to them. Last year when meeting with some staff at the City of Lincoln Council it was suggested we meet with the Minister of Central Methodist Church as it centrally located and is a wonderful space in good condition. After meeting with the Minister we launched a new hygiene session there in September alongside Coffee and Chat. We have been meeting twice monthly there for four months. One Monday during one of our sessions we met with Superintendent Lincoln Circuit Rev. Richard Mottershead and he gave us a full tour of the upstairs of the building – 2 rooms, a kitchen, hall and toilets.

Discussions began to see if we could rent this space upstairs on a monthly basis for our office space. Agreements were made at the end of 2024 and contracts signed mid January and a lot of time went into getting everything ready to move and purchasing what we need. 1st February onwards we have been cleaning, painting, moving things and organising everything. This space has taken shape and it feels wonderful to have some space to call our own. The storage is all sorted and organised and it will be much easier to manage the Lincoln Hygiene Bank stock now it is in one location and organised by item. The office is arranged and we have started to use it and the kitchen is ready to be used. We are in the process of organising book donations for our interfaith library and gathering items for the Fairtrade shop – these will launch later this month.

if you have any books, magazines or journals you would like to donate to the interfaith library please get in touch and they can be delivered to the office and interfaith centre, Central Methodist Church, Monday to Thursday 10am - 2pm..
